Amazon Advances Kuiper Satellite Constellation with ULA Launch
Amazon has taken a significant step in its race against SpaceX's Starlink by deploying the second batch of Project Kuiper satellites via United Launch Alliance's Atlas V rocket. The launch from Cape Canaveral positions Amazon to disrupt global broadband connectivity with a planned constellation of 3,200 low-Earth orbit satellites.
The company's $10 billion initiative—backed by the largest commercial launch agreement in history—will leverage 46 missions combining Atlas V and Vulcan rockets. Project Kuiper targets underserved markets, offering enterprise-grade internet to remote hospitals, schools, and government agencies currently plagued by unreliable connections.
